Seiten & Namensräume

Article

We call an article a page with content about a certain topic. An article is always sorted into the namespace "(Main)". These pages have no namespace prefix, like pages in other namespaces do ("Help:", "Templates:" etc.). Every article is on a page, but some pages have different content – see #Namespace for more information.

Page

A page is every single page in TangoWiki. Every page has a unique URL. Pages include articles, discussion pages, special pages, template pages, category pages etc. Almost every page has an associated talk page to it, where questions about the content of a page can be asked.

Namensraum

Namensraum bezeichnet eine Gruppierung von Seiten. Jeder Namensraum hat ein Präfix vor dem Seitennamen – mit der Ausnahme des Hauptnamensraums. Es gibt also "Help:" für den Hilfenamensraum und "Template:" für den Vorlagennamensraum. Manche Formulare fügen eine neue erstellte Seite automatisch in einen besonderen Namensraum. Der springende Punkt von Namensräumen ist die Gruppierung einzelner Seiten und zur Unterscheidung von ähnlichen Seiten (wie "Buenos Aires" für die Stadt und "Song:Buenos Aires" für das Tangolied.)

Kategorie

Kategorien werden am Ende einer Seite eingetragen und ausgegeben. Kategorien ermöglichen die einfache Sortierung und Verlinkung zusammengehörender Seiten. Wird eine Seite einer Kategorie hinzugefügt, wird diese Kategorie erstellt und auf der Kategorienseite werden automatisch alle Seiten angezeigt, die in diese Kategorie eingeordnet sind. Die Kategorienseite selbst muss wie jede andere Seite (mit Text und Kategorien) dann noch erstellt werden. Mehr über Kategorien. In den Spezialseiten findet sich eine Liste aller Kategorien.
