Guidelines are simple text boxes to be included (=transcluded) into other articles. They are useful for general guidelines that apply to more pages than one.
The difference to "real templates" is the way of transclusion:
- Transclude a template:
{{Templatename|Parameter value}} - Transclude a "normal" page:
{{:Page name}}(note the colon before the page name!)
Examples:
- Template:Note-info can be transcluded via
